Perfection assumes we can reach a point where work is no longer required, but that isn’t going to happen.  We will always be perfecting. On a continual journey of improvement.

Gentlemen, we will chase perfection, and we will chase it relentlessly, knowing all the while we can never attain it. But along the way, we shall catch excellence.”

― Vince Lombardi

When we inevitably make mistakes and miss our mark, we don’t need to shame ourselves. We learn from it.  There is no perfect human. We all make mistakes.  Playfully framing a mistake as “oops, I was so close to being the first perfect human” is a fun way to remember there is no shame in a mistake and thinking we can achieve perfection is ridiculous.

Even the Blue Angels have a case of imposter syndrome from time to time, just like professional athletes, and you and me. We doubt ourselves not because of our abilities, but because we are human. We need to talk to ourselves, not just listen to ourselves and use tools like hero bars to remind us we are capable.

You can have access to the same high performance training as the Blue Angels.  By using the full power of our imagination incorporating all our senses, we can gain the benefits of experience without leaving our chairs.
